It was originally developed for use under Linux (see e.g. <ulink url="http://www.martinos.org/mne/">MNE examples</ulink>, and <ulink url="http://imaging.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/meg/AnalyzingData/MNE_overview">MNE at the CBU</ulink>. </para><para>Recently, MNE has been integrated into <ulink url="http://www.python.org/">Python</ulink> for optimization and automatization, as described on the <ulink url="http://mne-tools.github.com/mne-python-intro/">MNE-Python intro pages</ulink>. </para><para>In order to use the latest MNE-Python version at the CBU, type </para><screen><![CDATA[mne_python]]></screen><para>in your Linux command window, which will run it in the iPython  environment on one of the linux boxes 43-56. This might take a while to  start - please be patient. </para><para>In order to use a specific version, type for example </para><screen><![CDATA[mne_python -v 0.10]]></screen><para>The best way to learn MNE-Python is to check out the <ulink url="http://martinos.org/mne/stable/tutorials.html">tutorials</ulink> and <ulink url="https://martinos.org/mne/stable/auto_examples/index.html">examples</ulink>. </para><para>If you are new to programming and scripting, you may want to look for some <ulink url="http://imaging.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/meg/Beginners">general tutorials</ulink>. </para><para>They provide a sample data set, and a large number of example analysis scripts that can be directly applied to those data. </para><para>It's all quite new and exciting, so any comments or feedback would be welcome!
